Dear Islanders,
It’s time again for the Johnson’s Island Annual All Island Garage Sale. The garage sale will be this Saturday, July 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Please make sure any guests and/or contractors you may have coming to the island from 8:00 AM on, are aware of this event and its effect on traffic. The traffic pattern this year is counter clockwise. In the past early birds went the wrong way causing considerable congestion problems. So, starting at 8:00 AM, ALL TRAFFIC will be directed to turn right at the Causeway-Memorial stop sign by a uniformed Marblehead Police Officer.
The toll gate will be monitored starting at 8:00 AM. ALL VEHICLES who don’t have the correct code (1111), will be charged $2.00. At 9:00 AM, the gate will be opened for the duration of the garage sale.
The cost will be $10.00 for those who participate. This covers advertising, signage, the Marblehead Police Officer, and any miscellaneous expenses. Excess funds will be turned over to the two HOA’s to support their respective social functions.
